Overview

Fruit and spice and everything nice. Black Dog Red is a friendly and approachable wine, blended from several Lodi Zin vineyards, displaying currants and red berries with a smooth, yet zesty finish.  It's medium body is just right for a backyard BBQ on a hot summer evening. We even put it in an easy-open screw cap, so it's ideal for trips to the dog park!

It is Zinfandel from five different vineyards in Lodi, blended with a little bit of Tempranillo. The wine was aged in a combination of new and used American oak, and the individual lots of wine were blended to create this just prior to bottling.
